QEHS Manager for a Danish-Owned Dairy in Romania

At NORDEX FOOD Romania SRL, we are looking for a dedicated QEHS Manager to help strengthen our quality and food safety culture and drive the continued development of the QEHS area. At the dairy in Campulung, we produce flavourful white cheese, which is sold on several international markets.
You will be part of the dairy's extended management group and play a central role in the continued development of quality, food safety, environment, health and safety. We work with compressed approval pathways and high levels of trust and personal autonomy, which allows you to quickly turn ideas into action and create visible results.
You will not only be responsible for maintaining our QEHS systems, but also be tasked with further developing them and taking quality, food safety, environment, health and safety to the next level.
We are looking for a committed and action-oriented manager who is passionate about quality, food safety, environment, health and safety, who will work closely with the extended management group to ensure that the dairy continues to develop and is well equipped for future customer requirements, regulatory requirements and certifications.

About the position

As QEHS Manager, you will have overall responsibility for quality, food safety, environment, health and safety at the dairy. You report to the dairy manager and lead the quality department, which consists of a quality assistant and two laboratory technicians.
You will have a unique opportunity to work closely with our current QEHS Manager and ensure a thorough handover of knowledge, processes and systems ahead of their retirement.

You will be an important sparring partner for both production and the extended management group and will play a key role in developing a strong food safety culture as well as a culture characterised by quality, trust, accountability and continuous improvement.

Your main responsibilities

• Ensure and further develop FSSC 22000 and other relevant standards and certifications
• Drive the development of quality management systems, procedures and documentation
• Strengthen food safety culture, health and safety, and environmental initiatives at the dairy
• Lead the HACCP team and ensure compliance with legislation and customer requirements
• Plan, implement and ensure follow-up during internal and external audits
• Develop and coach the quality team
• Ensure effective training and competence development processes
• Cooperate with authorities, customers and other stakeholders

We imagine that you

• Have at least 5 years' experience from a similar position in a food-producing company
• Have solid knowledge of food safety, HACCP, audits and certifications
• Are an accessible and open-minded manager who can create engagement and collaboration across the organisation
• Work in a structured, analytical and solution-oriented manner
• Can communicate confidently in Romanian and English
• Have good IT skills and preferably experience with D365 and SharePoint
• Live in or around Campulung, or are willing to move to the region and become an active member of the local community
