The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing collection activities for a defined customer portfolio. The role focuses on reducing overdue balances, resolving disputes efficiently, and ensuring accurate account reconciliations in line with company policies. By working closely with internal stakeholders, the position contributes to stable cash flow, improved customer satisfaction, and high-quality financial reporting.
Your Role- Execute collection activities efficiently and effectively in compliance with company policies, procedures, and agreed service levels
- Manage cash collection for a designated customer portfolio using dedicated collection systems and ERP tools
- Proactively follow up on overdue and outstanding payments to minimize past-due balances
- Monitor receivable accounts and ensure aged balances remain within defined business targets
- Investigate, manage, and resolve billing disputes in a fair, timely, and customer-focused manner
- Prepare detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in cooperation with internal teams
- Support the update and monitoring of bad debt provisions and account performance
- Prepare scheduled and ad-hoc financial, operational, and performance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and service level agreements
- Identify operational issues and escalate complex cases when required
- Act as a strong team player and collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting
Your Profile - Experience in Cash Application, Accounts Receivable, Finance, or Accounting
- Experience working with ERP systems and dedicated collection tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent productivity tools (especially Excel)
- Shared services or industry experience is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Confident verbal and written communication skills in English
- Customer-oriented mindset combined with a structured and reliable working style
- Danish and/or Swedish speaking
