Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Medical Writer to join our expert team working for one of the most recognizable pharmaceutical companies in the world. In this role, you will be part a group of writers, overseeing quality content development, providing project and scientific counsel and guidance both internally and externally on current and new business projects.
Engagement in projects involves:
- analyzing of data derived from publications and clinical trials in terms of their usefulness for different geographies
- searching medical databases
- assimilating and verifying data for promotional and educational materials intended for HCPs and patients; these materials encompass a wide range, including but not limited to, slide decks, posters, peer-reviewed publications, leaflets, and websites
- contributing to abstracts, posters, and publications development under the guidance of senior staff
- functioning in parallel projects in different disease areas at any one time.
QualificationsSkills and knowledge the role requires:
- Life sciences degree (preferably a Masters, MD, PhD or BPharm)
- Native level of English (C2) and proficient Danish
- Experience as a Medical Writer in an advertising agency, communication agency, or in the pharmaceutical sector
- Previous experience as an evidence synthesis or data analyst would be an asset
- Understanding of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors and codes/guidelines
- Providing scientific support for pitch research
- Proficient computer and excellent communication skills
- Flexible, able to work collaboratively or independently
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail, calm under pressure
- Ability to provide scientific counsel to clients and internal team regarding complex narratives/portfolio messaging development
The role requires good communication skills that include:
- Interaction with other departments of the company in a seamless manner
- Resolution of difficult conversations, both internal and external, in a constructive manner
- Expertise in establishing strong relationships with external scientific experts and client teams
- Close interactions with the account lead and scientific strategist to provide holistic account oversight, and sets priorities to reflect account deadlines and evolving needs
- Leadership in scientific presentations with confidence
