Our client is looking for a Danish-speaking Collections Officer to join their team in Malta. The role reports directly to the Danish Team Leader and forms part of a team responsible for sales activities, customer onboarding, customer inquiries, and close cooperation with the collections department.
This is a varied role combining customer service, sales, onboarding, and operational support within a multinational banking environment. You will play an important role in delivering high-quality customer experiences while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide customers with accurate information regarding the bank's products, services, and payments
- Actively generate sales in line with the company's strategy and guidelines
- Handle customer inquiries via telephone, live chat, email, and SMS
- Support onboarding processes, including document verification
- Ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Deliver a high level of customer service at all times
- Work closely with payments and collections departments to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with additional customer-related inquiries as required
- Promote and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
Additional Responsibilities- Assist in the creation of sales reports
- Support training and mentoring of new team members
- Contribute to documenting operational procedures
- Suggest improvements to systems, processes, and workflows
- Complete ad hoc tasks assigned by the Head of New Markets
Requirements- Fluent Danish and good English (written and spoken)
- Experience in customer service and sales of financial products
- Experience with client onboarding and document verification
- Strong communication skills with a results-driven mindset
- Detail-oriented with high personal work standards
- Proactive, able to take initiative, and work independently
- Strong team player with a customer-focused approach
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
